Information for bands:
Be sure that a manager, or someone in the band, advances all shows with Mike/Chris, no later than 5 days prior! Contact at booking@wheelhouselive.com
The Wheel House relies heavily on a college crowd. The University of Rhode Island’s Kingston Campus is located about 10 miles north of the venue, however, about 50% of the students(roughly 6000 students) reside in the town of Narragansett. The venue does not have a “natural” or “built in” crowd. It is the artists responsibility to take the proper means of promoting, to ensure a turnout and ultimately a successful show. It is recommended that you use your street team, internet resources (myspace,facebook etc.)
Facebook events must be created no later than 2 weeks prior to any event. Make sure you invite us (facebook.com/wheelhouselive). Any show that does not have an event listed will be canceled. We expect all bands to promote through ALL means possible. PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE.
Load in time is 7PM unless otherwise stated.
- We have a full PA with our house sound engineer. Band sound engineers must be approved by the wheel house prior to the event. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have your own engineer you will need to bring your own sound board. We have a separate stage snake for this reason. The Wheel House takes pride in providing great sound and lights to all bands. We are dedicated to live music and are comitted to making every band enjoy playing on the Wheel House stage.
- Confirmed Bands that wish to bring another act to open MUST be approved by the Wheel House prior to the event. Send us an email with all band related links to booking@wheelhouselive.com and we will reply with our decision.
- Non Contract Shows that do not have at least 30 people attending will be limited to a 1 hour set.
